Colombian victims condemn Macafolla and Lalis for jokes about Farc‑recruited children
A satirical segment from the YouTube program "La Megacárcel" featured comedian María Camila Fonseca, known as Macafolla, and congresswoman Laura Daniela Beltrán ("Lalis") making disparaging remarks about the more than 18,000 children forced into recruitment by the former guerrilla group Farc. The clip, in which Macafolla used the term "hijueputicas" to refer to the former child soldiers, spread quickly on social media and provoked widespread outrage.
Survivor Deisy Dorelly, who was recruited as a minor by the Farc and is now an activist, issued a video demanding a public apology, stating, "I am 38 years old and I am not any hijueputica." She condemned the language as a banalisation of the victims’ suffering and called on the congresswoman to respect the dignity of those affected by the conflict. The controversy has reignited debate over the treatment of victims and the responsibilities of public figures in Colombia.
