Colombia's ANI advances railway network and infrastructure projects

The National Infrastructure Agency (ANI) of Colombia has reported significant progress in strengthening the country's railway network. President of the ANI, Ricardo Ayerbe Pino, highlighted that working sessions between the agency and the concessionaire Fenoco have resolved a four-year dispute regarding the construction of a 25.6-kilometer second line in the Atlantic rail network.

Additionally, the agency has expedited the financial closing for the La Dorada – Chiriguaná railway project. This corridor is expected to enter its construction phase, facilitating investments totaling USD 786.7 million over the next three years and four months. The agency also successfully resolved administrative hurdles with the Ministry of Transport to secure necessary operating permits for the La Dorada – Chiriguaná and Bogotá – Belencito corridors.
