Colombia's First Lady files harassment complaint against influencer

Colombia's First Lady, Ana Lucía Pineda, has filed a criminal complaint with the Attorney General's Office against influencer Levy Rincón for aggravated harassment. The legal action follows social media posts by Rincón on X, where he allegedly used insulting and denigrating language and accused Pineda of misappropriating donation funds intended for earthquake victims.

Prior to Pineda's direct complaint, a group of 25 senators, led by Jota Pe Hernández, submitted a formal request to Attorney General Luz Adriana Camargo to investigate Rincón for potential crimes against honor, including slander and libel. The senators expressed strong rejection of the statements, characterizing them as attacks against the dignity of women.

In a separate development, the Attorney General's Office has also opened an inquiry into the cartoonist Matador for insults directed at the First Lady, while a judge has ordered the imprisonment of Juan Carlos Buriticá Suárez for making threats against Pineda and the presidential family.
