Colombia's football fans spur travel‑insurance and themed‑soap launches

A Chubb study of Colombian sports travellers found that 90% of respondents would like to travel to Spain to watch a LaLiga match, and many demand specific protections such as coverage against ticket resale scams (47%) and theft of tickets (60%). The insurer highlighted the market’s demand for clear, comprehensive travel‑insurance policies, noting that 42% of Colombian fans prioritize coverage clarity over price.

At the same time, personal‑care brand Refisal introduced a limited‑edition sea‑salt soap called "Jabón Refisal Marina" to tap into the country's football‑related rituals. The 90‑gram soap, produced in a run of 55,000 units for June‑July 2026, is marketed as a way for fans to incorporate the traditional salt‑bath good‑luck practice into their pre‑match routines. Both initiatives reflect the strong cultural passion for football in Colombia and the commercial opportunities it creates.
