Colombia’s June 2026 cultural festivals draw crowds in Ibagué and Bogotá

On Saturday, 13 June 2026, Ibagué will host a children’s “caballitos de palo” parade as part of the Festival Folclórico Colombiano. The route starts on Calle 42, passes through several streets including Carrera Quinta, Sexta and Octava, and ends near the Acqua shopping centre. Temporary road closures will be in effect along the parade’s path, with motorists advised to use alternate routes.

Meanwhile, Bogotá’s Father’s Day weekend (13‑15 June) will feature a slate of cultural activities. Highlights include the “Papá de los asados” food festival at Hacienda San Rafael, free rock concerts at La Media Torta, exhibitions at the Museo Nacional de Colombia and Museo del Oro, a Philharmonic concert at Auditorio León de Greiff, and a family musical at the Centro de Felicidad de Chapinero. Admission fees vary, and some events require prior registration.
