The National Protection Unit (UNP) in Colombia, an agency under the Ministry of the Interior, has established its salary scale for 2026. The institution is responsible for planning and executing security measures for individuals at risk, including social leaders, human rights defenders, journalists, unionists, and victims of armed conflict.

The 2026 salary structure is divided into several categories:

• Assistential level: $1,750,905 to $4,741,982 pesos. • Technical level: $1,750,905 to $4,789,503 pesos. • Professional level: $3,119,094 to $12,919,932 pesos. • Advisor level: $5,166,213 to $18,494,549 pesos. • Management level: $5,293,582 to $23,137,521 pesos.
