Colombia's President Petro Reactivates Capture Orders for Calarcá Dissidents

President Gustavo Petro signed a resolution on 4 August 2026 reactivating capture orders against alias “Gafas” and seven other members of the Calarcá dissident groups after revoking their recognition in the national peace dialogue. The decision ended the legal benefits that had suspended arrest warrants while the individuals served as delegates in the talks.

The listed individuals include Jonathan Jair Narváez Quintero (alias “Gafas”), Alexander Farfán Suárez, Jaime Muñoz Dorado, Ramiro Pinzón Novoa, Ciro Alfonso Romero Ospina, Guido Mauricio Ortiz Murillo, Yenimahr Nasare García and Andrés Orlando Ayala Garzón. The latter two were presumed dead. The peace process, launched in October 2023, had been partially suspended in March 2024 following internal splits among armed groups.
