Colombia's retailers launch Father's Day campaigns tied to World Cup 2026

Retailer Arturo Calle introduced the "La Voz de Papá" campaign to drive Father’s Day sales, linking the promotion to the excitement around the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The initiative offers fathers a chance to win a $2 million clothing voucher and a VIP experience for a pre‑match show ahead of Colombia’s game against Uzbekistan on 17 June. Participants must spend at least 200 000 Colombian pesos in a store, register the receipt via QR code and upload a video of their father cheering a goal.

In Bogotá, restaurants, hotels and shopping centres are also preparing special Father’s Day programmes from 13 to 15 June, moving the celebration forward due to a presidential‑runoff election. Events include football‑themed food and drink menus, karaoke, cinema screenings and promotions on fashion, technology and sports accessories, all themed around the World Cup fever that is expected to boost consumer spending.
