Colombia's SENA launches free virtual English courses for job seekers

The Servicio Nacional de Aprendizaje (SENA) has opened a new enrollment period for its English Does Work program, offering free, 100% virtual English courses that lead to an official SENA certificate. The curriculum covers 13 levels from beginner (A1) to intermediate‑advanced (B2) following the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Eligibility requires participants to be at least 14 years old, have a SENA Sofia Plus account, an internet‑enabled device and a personal email address. Registration is completed online through the Sofia Plus portal, where users select their desired level and submit basic personal data. The initiative aims to improve Colombian citizens' language skills and enhance their employability in a competitive labour market.
