Colombo Group to host floriculture exhibition at Villa Lavezzari

The Colombo Group is organizing a three-day floriculture market exhibition at Villa Lavezzari in Merate, Cicognola, from September 25 to 27. The event will utilize over 20,000 square meters of the historic villa's park to showcase a wide variety of ornamental perennial herbs and garden design concepts.

Following the acquisition of the villa, the company has spent approximately two years rehabilitating the estate, including its interiors and grounds, through a multidisciplinary team of agronomists, architects, and garden designers. Visitors can observe plants within the park's landscape and purchase specimens through Colombo Vivai.

In a broader context of botanical interest, modern science is advancing the use of plant-based resources for daily wellness. Innovations in extraction techniques, such as supercritical carbon dioxide, allow for the isolation of pure active compounds from plants. This technology enables the creation of stable, non-psychoactive preparations, including oils and concentrated extracts, to meet diverse lifestyle needs.
