Colombo Stock Exchange shows mixed performance amid varying trading volumes

The Colombo Stock Exchange has experienced fluctuating performance. In recent sessions, the All Share Price Index (ASPI) saw a decline of 0.31% to close at 21,279.65, driven by low trading volumes and net outflows from foreign investors. The S&P SL20 index also fell by 0.24%.

Conversely, other market reports indicate periods of growth, with the ASPI rising by 0.20% to 21,322.86 in a separate session. During positive movements, stocks such as Cargills, Hayleys, and Commercial Bank contributed to gains.

In the fixed income market, the Public Debt Management Office successfully raised LKR 50 billion through a T-Bond auction, with maturities in 2030 and 2035. Meanwhile, the Sri Lankan rupee showed marginal appreciation against the US dollar.
