Colomiers resident finds royal boa in car engine

A resident of Colomiers, a suburb of Toulouse, France, discovered a 1.5-meter royal boa inside his car engine while attempting to replace a battery after the vehicle had been parked for nearly a month.

Firefighters from the Haute-Garonne department, including specialists from the Animal Risk Intervention (RAN) team, responded to the scene. Five firefighters used specialized equipment to safely remove the snake without injury to the animal or the responders. The boa was subsequently transferred to the National Veterinary School in Toulouse for care.
