Colonia del Sacramento announces USD 600 million in investments
Colonia del Sacramento has announced or is currently executing investments exceeding USD 600 million across various sectors, including residential development, infrastructure, connectivity, education, and tourism. The investment roadmap was presented during the “Colonia para vivir, Colonia para invertir” event held at the Uruguayan Embassy in Argentina.
Key projects include the +Colonia Smart City development, which involves over USD 280 million for housing, offices, commercial spaces, an international school, and hospitality services. Additionally, more than USD 260 million is earmarked for port and maritime infrastructure to strengthen connectivity between Buenos Aires and the Río de la Plata metropolitan area. Other notable allocations include USD 20 million for the Service Free Zone to attract global professional services and the expansion of the Universidad de la República.
