Colonial Lanes Classic kicks off collegiate bowling season

The 2026-27 collegiate bowling season begins with the Colonial Lanes Classic, hosted by Tulane at Colonial Lanes in Harahan, Louisiana. The three-day tournament runs from Friday, October 9, through Sunday, October 11.

The No. 20 ranked UAB Blazers will participate in the 14-team field, which includes eight teams ranked or receiving votes in the National Tenpin Coaches Association Preseason Poll. UAB's schedule includes Baker matches against Oklahoma Christian, Sam Houston, Louisiana Tech, Texas Southern, and Southern, followed by traditional team games and bracket play.

Florida A&M enters the season with a 13-15 overall record. The Rattlers' recent performance included a .500 finish in the SWAC Roundup 2, highlighted by wins over Prairie View A&M, Alabama A&M, and Grambling.
