Jyske Bank reports strong H1 2026 earnings
Jyske Bank has reported strong financial results for the first half of 2026, achieving a profit after tax of 2.4 billion DKK. The bank noted a 12 percent increase in earnings per share compared to the same period last year, highlighted by a record-high earnings per share of 22 DKK in the second quarter alone.
While the second-quarter results exceeded analyst expectations, much of the positive surprise was attributed to higher-than-expected currency adjustments rather than underlying income. Specifically, currency adjustments and dividends contributed 499 million DKK, accounting for approximately 80 percent of the beat in pre-tax profit.
The bank maintains its full-year profit forecast of between 4.3 and 5.1 billion DKK, citing a robust Danish economy and strong customer financial positions despite geopolitical uncertainties.
