Colorado Avalanche defeat St. Louis Blues 6-1

The Colorado Avalanche defeated the St. Louis Blues 6-1 in Denver on Saturday night, continuing a high-scoring start to their season. Martin Necas led the offensive surge with two goals and an assist, while Nathan MacKinnon contributed three assists.

The Avalanche secured the victory largely through a dominant four-goal second period. Two of Colorado's goals resulted from turnovers by Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington, including a misplayed clearing pass that allowed Artturi Lehkonen to score into an empty net and a second error that led to a goal by Nicolas Roy.

St. Louis managed a single goal from Dalibor Dvorsky in the third period. The Blues struggled to generate offense, recording only 15 total shots on goal during the game. This loss follows a previous 4-0 win for St. Louis against Dallas earlier in the week.
