Colorado Avalanche forwards to miss upcoming road trip due to injuries

The Colorado Avalanche face depth challenges as three forwards will miss the team’s upcoming two-game road trip to Philadelphia and New Jersey.

Zachary L’Heureux and Nicolas Roy are currently considered day-to-day with injuries. L’Heureux is dealing with an upper-body issue that has sidelined him for several games, while Roy is managing a lower-body injury. Head coach Jared Bednar noted that while they are officially day-to-day, their recovery timelines may eventually be downgraded to week-to-week.

Additionally, Logan O’Connor will remain in Denver to prepare for a return to the lineup. Although healthy, O’Connor is working to meet the minimum requirements of 10 games or 24 days following a stint on long-term injured reserve, which was utilized to create salary cap relief. He is expected to be ready for the team’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Ball Arena next Friday.
