Colorado Avalanche rally to defeat Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2

The Colorado Avalanche overcame an early 2-0 deficit to defeat the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2. Nathan MacKinnon led the comeback with four points, recording one goal and three assists. Artturi Lehkonen scored twice for Colorado, while rookie T. J. Hughes recorded his first career NHL goal.

Despite the loss, Penguins captain Sidney Crosby reached a significant milestone, recording his 1,110th career assist to move into sole possession of seventh place on the NHL's all-time assist list. Evgeni Malkin and Bryan Rust provided the initial scoring for Pittsburgh.

In other NHL action, the Boston Bruins secured their fourth consecutive victory with a 4-2 comeback win over the Anaheim Ducks. David Pastrňák reached a historic milestone by scoring his 423rd career goal, moving into fourth place on the Bruins' all-time scoring list.
