Colorado cannabis laws and regulations for visitors

Adults visiting Colorado must adhere to specific recreational cannabis regulations regarding age, purchase limits, and consumption. To purchase or possess retail cannabis, individuals must be at least 21 years of age and present a valid, government-issued photo ID.

Legal limits allow for the purchase of up to 1 ounce of retail cannabis at a time, while legal possession is capped at 2 ounces. Exceeding these limits can result in fines or legal charges.

Public consumption is strictly prohibited. This includes smoking, eating, or vaping in streets, parks, restaurants, bars, and common areas of hotels or apartment buildings.
