Colorado Latino voters report declining confidence in state direction

Recent polling indicates a decline in confidence among Latino voters in Colorado regarding the state’s direction. According to the sixth annual Colorado Latino Policy Agenda survey, 46% of Latino voters believe the state is moving in the wrong direction, an increase from 34% in the previous year.

Economic issues, including the cost of living, wages, and housing affordability, remain primary concerns. In Colorado’s 8th Congressional District, 44% of Latino voters reported that their financial situation has worsened over the past year. Many respondents also cited immigration enforcement as a significant priority.

The data shows a shift in political sentiment toward Donald Trump. In the 8th District, 70% of Latino voters disapprove of Trump’s job performance, a notable increase from 42% disapproval recorded last summer. Additionally, 39% of Latino voters in that district blame Trump for the rising cost of living in Colorado.
