Colorado Rapids sign Israeli forward Sayed Abu Farkhi
The Colorado Rapids have signed 20-year-old Israeli forward Sayed Abu Farkhi from Maccabi Tel Aviv. The transfer, processed as a U-22 initiative signing, reportedly carries a $6 million fee, making it the second most expensive transfer in the history of the Colorado club.
Abu Farkhi has signed a contract through the 2029-2030 season, with an option for 2030-2031. The signing is intended to bolster the Rapids' attacking front following the departure of Rafael Navarro to St. Louis.
A graduate of the Maccabi Tel Aviv Youth Academy, Abu Farkhi has made 54 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals. He has also represented the Israel Under 21 squad and has earned appearances for various Israeli national youth levels.
