Colorado Rockies snap 10-game home losing streak with win over Orioles

The Colorado Rockies defeated the Baltimore Orioles 4-2 on Tuesday night at Coors Field, snapping a franchise-record 10-game home losing streak. The victory also ended a five-game overall skid for Colorado.

T. J. Rumfield provided the decisive blow in the seventh inning, hitting a two-run home run off Orioles reliever Yennier De Leon to break a 2-2 tie. The home run ended Rumfield’s personal drought of six weeks without a long ball. Adael Amador also contributed a home run for the Rockies.

For the Orioles, Jackson Holliday hit a tying home run in the seventh inning and recorded three hits, but a fielding error by Holliday earlier in the inning allowed Mickey Moniak to reach base, setting up Rumfield’s go-ahead shot. The loss leaves Baltimore 1.5 games behind Cleveland for the final American League wild card spot.
