Colorado State University students demand better communication after campus shooting

During a recent meeting of the Associated Students of Colorado State University (ASCSU), student leaders addressed concerns regarding a shooting that occurred near the university’s Microbiology Building on October 12.

ASCSU President Victoria Quesada-Stoner called for greater scrutiny of recent campus events and urged the university to provide more timely details regarding such incidents. Senator Cameron Gradiz Adorno criticized the university’s communication response, noting that an initial alert took 15 minutes to issue and contained minimal information, while a subsequent update arrived 49 minutes later.

Additionally, student representatives discussed the need for increased transparency regarding the university’s financial activities.
