College sports: UNC volleyball and Washington State secure notable victories

In collegiate volleyball, No. 23 UNC defeated No. 15 Stanford in a five-set thriller (3-2) at Carmichael Arena. The victory marks UNC's first win over a ranked opponent this season and maintains their perfect 7-0 home record. Jackie Taylor led the Tar Heels with 13 kills and 14 blocks.

In other volleyball action, No. 3 Louisville extended its winning streak to 10 matches with a four-set victory over Miami.
