The “Troy and Rome: Myths, Legends, and Stories of the Ancient Mediterranean” exhibition at the Colosseum has surpassed 2 million visitors. Turkish Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced that the event has reached 2,066,178 attendees.

Organized through cultural cooperation between Turkey and Italy, the exhibition features over 300 artifacts. This includes 221 pieces from museums under the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, alongside works from Italian and Vatican museums. The collection explores the historical and mythological links between Troy and Rome, covering themes such as the Trojan War, Homer’s Iliad, and the journey of Aeneas to Italy.

The exhibition, which opened on June 12 following a ceremony on June 11, is scheduled to remain open until October 18. Minister Ersoy noted that the initiative serves as a tool for cultural diplomacy, strengthening the ties between Turkey and Italy by showcasing their shared historical heritage.
