Colston Loveland earns praise from Chicago Bears teammates and coaches

Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland is receiving significant praise from teammates and coaching staff ahead of his second NFL season. Following a rookie campaign where he recorded 58 receptions for 713 yards and six touchdowns, Loveland is expected to serve as the team's primary tight end.

Wide receiver Kalif Raymond highlighted Loveland’s intense work ethic, noting that the tight end frequently uses a jugs machine at his home to catch hundreds of passes on off days. Raymond described Loveland as “exceptional” in terms of talent, route running, and hands, adding that his drive to work is what will make him great.

Head coach Ben Johnson also lauded Loveland, calling him “Mr. Steady” and describing him as a “phenomenal” athlete. Johnson noted that Loveland’s size and skill set make him a difficult matchup for safeties and linebackers in man coverage. General manager Ryan Poles has similarly expressed confidence in Loveland’s ability to lead the team.
