Colts tight end Tyler Warren gears up for expanded role in second NFL season

Tyler Warren, the Indianapolis Colts' tight end, is entering his second NFL season after a rookie year that produced 76 receptions for 817 yards and four touchdowns. His 817 receiving yards ranked fifth among tight ends last season, and his 474 yards after catch were the second‑best in the league at his position.

Warren said the continuity of returning coaches and teammates gives the offense a strong foundation. He highlighted his growing chemistry with quarterback Daniel Jones, who is returning from a torn Achilles suffered in Week 14 of the prior season, and noted that the trade of wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. creates additional opportunities for him on the field. General manager Chris Ballard confirmed Jones is cleared for full participation as training camp begins.

The tight end expressed confidence that the team’s core will build on last year's success and that his role will expand as the offense diversifies without Pittman's presence.
