Columbia Basin Trust announces AGM and energy efficiency workshops
Columbia Basin Trust has announced its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) and a series of community initiatives. The AGM is scheduled for September 10 at the Prestige Mountain Resort in Rossland, with a virtual attendance option via Zoom. During the meeting, Board chair Susan Clovechok and CEO Johnny Strilaeff will review the past year, present the 2025-26 annual report, and provide updates on regional work. Following the meeting, a free community barbecue will be held at the Warfield Community Hall.
Additionally, the Trust is partnering with the Community Energy Association to host 25 free Home Energy Efficiency Workshops across the Kootenays between September 8 and October 22. These expert-led sessions aim to provide homeowners with practical advice on improving home comfort, reducing energy use, and identifying energy loss. The workshops will cover low-cost DIY improvements, everyday habits, and information regarding rebates for larger retrofit projects. Specific upcoming sessions include workshops in Trail on October 1 and Rossland on October 14.
