Columbia field hockey and Saint Mary's soccer announce upcoming schedules

Columbia University field hockey begins its 2026 season with two West Coast matches. The Lions are scheduled to face UC Davis on Friday before traveling to Berkeley to play California on Sunday.

Coach Niki Miller has announced a seven-player recruiting class for 2026, including Avery Burnett, Veera Chidanandan, Nadia Gross, Audrey Owen-Smith, Marisa Rubano, Georgia Schmitz, and Norah Veldhuizen. The roster also features returning players such as Jacinta Solari Etcheberry and goalkeeper Margot Houle.

In men's soccer, Saint Mary's begins a two-game homestand at Saint Mary's Stadium. The Gaels will first host Marist on Thursday, followed by a match against Air Force on September 7. The team enters this stretch following a 2-1 victory over Sacramento State.
