Columbia police arrest two suspects in fatal hit-and-run

Two women have been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian in Columbia, Missouri. The incident occurred on August 14 at approximately 9:09 p.m. near the intersection of East St. Charles Road and Remm Drive.

Mark Hunter Jr., a 47-year-old man from Columbia, was struck by a vehicle and later pronounced dead at a local hospital. Authorities used Flock cameras to identify the suspects involved in the collision.

Shunta Bohanon, 53, has been charged with first-degree involuntary manslaughter, armed criminal action, leaving the scene of an accident, and tampering with physical evidence. Sandra Sharp, 55, was also arrested and faces charges of tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest, and fourth-degree assault of a special victim.
