Columbia Sportswear unveils Sauvie Island-inspired FW26 collection

Columbia Sportswear has announced its Columbia Heritage FW26 collection, titled ‘Sauvie Sky’, which draws inspiration from the landscapes and wildlife of Sauvie Island in Oregon. The collection aims to blend the brand’s retro ‘gorpcore’ aesthetic with modern outdoor technologies, utilizing archival designs from the 1970s and 1990s.

The line features a palette of earthy tones and hunting-inspired camouflage patterns reflecting the island’s wetlands and migratory bird habitats. A centerpiece of the collection is the Quad Parka IC Jacket, a contemporary update of a 1988 silhouette originally designed for waterfowl hunters. This 3-in-1 parka includes an Omni-Tech exterior with camouflage patterns inspired by local vegetation, such as branches and rushes.
