Columbia University players named Ivy League weekly honorees

Columbia University senior running back Griffin Johnson has been named the Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week. Johnson recorded 121 rushing yards on 30 carries during the Lions' 20-17 overtime victory against Georgetown. His performance marks the first time a Columbia running back has achieved three consecutive 100-yard rushing games since 2000.

Senior kicker Hugo Merry earned Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Merry converted two field goals and two extra points, including a 25-yard field goal in overtime that secured the win. He also recorded a season-long 38-yard field goal despite difficult weather conditions.
