Edmonton Oilers defeat San Jose Sharks 3-1

The Edmonton Oilers secured their fourth consecutive victory with a 3-1 win over the San Jose Sharks at the SAP Center. Mattias Ekholm opened the scoring in the first period, followed by goals from Vasily Podkolzin and Alex Formenton in the third period.

Connor McDavid played a pivotal role, recording his 10th assist of the season and reaching 13 total points, which moved him ahead of Jack Eichel for the league lead in both categories. Goaltender Tristan Jarry made 19 saves to help secure the win for Edmonton.

San Jose's Macklin Celebrini returned to the lineup after missing two games due to a lower-body injury and scored his first goal of the season in the third period. Despite the goal, the Sharks were unable to mount a comeback, falling to a 3-2-0 record.
