COMAC CE-25A electric aircraft demonstrator spotted in photos

Photos circulating on social media appear to show a COMAC CE-25A electric aircraft demonstrator on an airfield. The aircraft, which features a red and dark color scheme with the registration B-0EFH, utilizes a unique ducted-fan design with five fans mounted on each wing.

Originally unveiled as a concept in 2023, the CE-25A is designed as a 19-seat all-electric regional commuter aircraft. It is intended to have a range of 400 to 600 kilometers and a maximum cruising speed of 400 kilometers per hour. The project aims to serve short and medium-haul mass passenger transportation and high-end business needs.

COMAC has previously collaborated with battery manufacturer CATL and Shanghai Jiao Tong University to research battery-powered aviation concepts. While the technical development stage of the photographed aircraft remains unconfirmed, it is believed to be a technology demonstrator rather than a mass-production model.
