Comacchio beach areas report positive results from Street Tutor safety project

The Street Tutor project in the Comacchio beach areas has reported a positive outcome following its first weekend during the Ferragosto holiday. The experimental service, which focuses on Lido degli Estensi and Lido di Spina, aims to enhance safety and monitor public areas frequented by tourists and young people.

During the service, operators monitored nightlife areas and beach club entrances. They successfully identified and removed various containers of alcohol hidden in vegetation or under parked vehicles. In one notable incident at Lido di Spina, Street Tutors intervened in a dispute involving an intoxicated individual attempting to drive, successfully de-escalating the situation and ensuring the person did not take the wheel.
