Comacchio hosts national festival for small Italian municipalities

Comacchio hosted the 21st National Festival and III National Festival of Small Italian Municipalities on October 9 and 10. Organized by the National Association of Small Italian Municipalities (Anpci), the event brought together mayors and administrators from across Italy to discuss the vital role of small centers in the country.

Under the theme ‘Small Municipalities, the Vital Heart of the Country’, participants addressed challenges such as limited resources, reduced staff, and increasing administrative responsibilities. The event featured high-level institutional presence, including Minister for Public Administration Paolo Zangrillo, Minister for Disabilities Alessandra Locatelli, and Deputy Minister of Justice Alberto Balboni.

In addition to political discussions, the gathering included the fifth edition of the Anpci national literary prize, the ‘Piccoli Comuni d’Italia – Tacconi/Filardi’, presided over by Riccardo Bizzarri. The event served as a platform for local administrators to voice the needs of their territories and foster direct dialogue with the national government.
