Comando Vermelho logistics leader arrested in Maceió

Laércio Isidoro do Nascimento Júnior, known as ‘Boss’, was arrested in Maceió during ‘Operação Ícarus’. The Rio de Janeiro Public Prosecutor's Office identifies him as a key figure in a Comando Vermelho (CV) scheme responsible for transporting drugs between São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

Investigators allege the group moved approximately R$ 70 million by using transport and logistics companies as fronts to hide illicit cargo among regular goods. Boss reportedly took over the role previously held by Marcos Antônio Pereira Firmino da Silva, known as ‘My Thor’, managing direct negotiations with CV leaders, organizing freight, and coordinating payments through intermediaries.

While Boss primarily supplied drugs to the CV in Rio, investigations suggest he maintained contacts with members of the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) in other states, particularly São Paulo. The operation, supported by police forces from Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Alagoas, also targeted several individuals, including military police officers accused of providing armed support to the criminal group.
