Comau and MicroVision announce new automation and perception technologies

Comau has developed an automated order preparation solution for Decathlon's e-commerce fulfillment operations as part of the European MASTERLY project. The system utilizes Comau’s MyCo collaborative robot, featuring a ROS2-based software architecture, intelligent sensors, and an advanced modular gripper. This setup allows for autonomous picking, handling, and palletizing of diverse products to address supply chain variability and the need for rapid reconfiguration.

Separately, MicroVision has announced plans to present its MicroVision Perception Platform at IAA Transportation 2026 in Hannover, Germany. This modular platform integrates lidar hardware, perception software, and open sensor integration. Designed to move away from fixed sensor configurations, the platform allows customers to customize detection technologies for short, long, and ultra-long ranges across automotive, commercial vehicle, industrial, and defense sectors.
