COMAX France quadruples battery energy storage capacity

COMAX France, a subsidiary of the Swiss-based MET Group, has completed a 57 MW/114 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio. The project spans 10 sites connected to the distribution network in France.

This expansion quadruples COMAX France’s operational BESS capacity in the country, bringing the total to over 86 MW/143 MWh. Developed over the last three years, the project utilized CATL Pods and SMA inverters, with Entech serving as the EPC contractor.

The operational assets are intended to support the European energy transition by facilitating the integration of renewable energy sources, providing grid flexibility services, and contributing to price stability for consumers within the French power system.
