Dillon Danis withdraws from Mike Perry fight at Duel Arena 1

Dillon Danis has withdrawn from his scheduled main event MMA fight against Mike Perry at Duel Arena 1 in Orlando, Florida, just 48 hours before the event. Danis cited a serious arm injury, sharing a video on social media of a deep laceration on his wrist being treated with stitches.

Mike Perry criticized the withdrawal during a pre-fight press conference, questioning the timing and suggesting the move might have been planned. Perry also reported that the change in opponent would result in a massive pay cut, with reports indicating a 50% reduction in his purse. The bout will also move from the welterweight to the middleweight division.

UFC veteran Brandon Jenkins has stepped in as the replacement on short notice. Jenkins is traveling to Orlando to complete the weigh-in before facing Perry this Saturday. Despite the last-minute change, the Duel Arena 1 event is proceeding as scheduled at the Kia Center.
