He was re-arrested on new charges of ‘praising crime and criminals.’ The court cited his jokes regarding the ‘Daltonlar’ gang—specifically comments about the ease of hiring hitmen via Telegram and using Bitcoin—as evidence that his remarks legitimized criminal activities and facilitated access to crime.

Göktaş defended his statements via social media, asserting that his performance was purely comedic satire intended to critique social and economic issues in Turkey rather than to praise criminal organizations. His lawyers have criticized the timing of the new charges, suggesting a pattern of attempting to keep him in custody regardless of legal rulings.
