Comedian Gotō Takumi Announces Marriage on Japanese TV Show Ariyoshi no Kabe

Japanese comedian Gotō Takumi, a member of the comedy trio 四千頭身, revealed his marriage live on the NTV program Ariyoshi no Kabe on 29 September. The announcement came as a surprise to his fellow trio members, who had not been told beforehand.

Following the broadcast, Gotō explained that he proposed to his partner at a quiet bench in Tokyo Disneyland, presenting a Tiffany ring from a backpack. He described the proposal as “a bit uncool in hindsight” but noted the partner’s emotional reaction. The show itself is scheduled to end its regular broadcast in September, with host Hiroyuki Ariyoshi confirming a shift to special‑program format.
