Comedy Central revives ‘Drunk History’ for three-episode special

Comedy Central is reviving the comedy series ‘Drunk History’ for a special event consisting of three new short-form episodes. This marks the show’s first original content since its six-season run ended in 2019.

The new episodes are scheduled to roll out on Comedy Central’s YouTube channel beginning September 15, 2026. The first installment features Meghan Trainor portraying Madonna during her performance at the inaugural MTV Video Music Awards. Other episodes will cover the life of Frances Perkins, an architect of FDR’s New Deal, and the history of the world’s largest ball of twine.

Creators Derek Waters and Jeremy Konner return for the project. The cast includes Seth Green, Colin Hanks, Jack McBrayer, Patton Oswalt, and ‘Weird Al’ Yankovic, with various performers serving as narrators.
