Comic book festivals see success in Brest and Gisors
Two regional comic book festivals in France recently concluded successful editions.
The 10th anniversary of the Brest en bulle festival in Brest drew approximately 20,000 visitors over two days. The event featured various activities, including an exhibition of Gotlib's work and a live drawing session by artists Nicoby, Jules, and Eve Marie to benefit Secours populaire. Festival president Nicolas Moal noted that the event's reputation for treating authors well is helping its growth.
In Gisors, the 29th edition of the local comic book festival, organized by the association ‘Les amis de la Bulle’, also saw significant turnout. The event hosted around twenty authors and offered book signings, quizzes, and specialized bookshops. Organizers expressed enthusiasm as they prepare for the festival's 30th anniversary next year.
