Coming of Age 2026 film program debuts in Paris and Lyon

The Allers-Retours festival is presenting its 2026 edition of the ‘Coming of Age’ program, a series of short film screenings dedicated to young Sinophone authors. The program, which has been held annually since 2021, features works from both mainland Chinese filmmakers and the Chinese diaspora.

Screenings are taking place in Paris and Lyon. Featured works include Liu Fangbai’s ‘So Rock!’, which explores themes of rebellion and personal growth through a 13-year-old boy’s connection to underground rock music in the industrial city of Shijiazhuang, China. The program aims to showcase diverse visual landscapes and narratives from the Sinophone cinematic world.
