Comité pro Santa Cruz to evaluate fuel supply commitments on August 31

The Comité pro Santa Cruz has scheduled a follow-up meeting for August 31 to evaluate the fulfillment of commitments made by the Bolivian national government and YPFB. The objective is to monitor progress on 10 specific points designed to address the ongoing gasoline and diesel supply crisis in the Santa Cruz department.

Agustín Zambrana, Vice President of the Comité pro Santa Cruz, expressed concern regarding the persistence of fuel shortages despite previous agreements. He noted that local municipalities and productive sectors are facing significant difficulties accessing fuel. Following the meeting, the institution will conduct an evaluation to determine future regional actions.

Additionally, the organization noted growing opposition to Supreme Decree 5676, which implements a differentiated diesel price of Bs 18 per liter for large-scale consumers.
