Commando Comics and Panini Books announce new collections

Commando Comics has announced three new “Commando Presents” collections. One notable release, “The D-Day Files: Operation Overlord,” is a 205-page volume featuring four comics centered on the 1944 Normandy landings. The collection includes titles such as “Big Joe” and “D-Day Drop.”

Separately, Panini Books has teased a new series of deluxe hardcover editions featuring comic strips from Doctor Who Magazine. The first volume, titled “Doctor Who: The Dogs of Doom: The Complete Comic Archive 1979-1980,” is scheduled for release on February 2, 2027. This 160-page collection will feature stories from the Fourth Doctor era, including work by creators such as Pat Mills, John Wagner, and Dave Gibbons.
