Commemorations held for the 1956 Hungarian Revolution

Various commemorations were held to mark the anniversary of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution and War of Independence. In Gödöllő, ceremonies took place at the memorial located in the garden of the former National Guard building (Bezsilla Villa) on Szabadság út. Participants included local government representatives, delegations from sister cities, various local institutions, economic organizations, and political party members.

Additionally, the Vienna Diary (Bécsi Napló) published a special supplement dedicated to the historical memory of the 1956 events. This publication includes historical facts, reminiscences, and analyses of how the events have been evaluated within the Hungarian community in the Carpathian Basin.
