Commercial Metals Approves $600M Share Buyback and Sets $1.8B EBITDA Goal
Commercial Metals Company’s Board of Directors authorized a $600 million share repurchase program, allowing the company to reacquire up to 7.5% of its outstanding shares through open‑market purchases. The buyback authorization will be executed over the three‑year financial‑target period while the firm continues to pay dividends and pursue growth investments.
At its 2026 Investor Day the company outlined fiscal‑2029 financial targets, aiming for core EBITDA of $1.65 billion to $1.8 billion and free‑cash‑flow of $1.4 billion to $1.5 billion. Construction Solutions, which already contributes about 28% of adjusted EBITDA, is targeted to exceed 40% of core EBITDA within three years, supported by potential acquisitions and a shift toward early‑stage construction offerings.
