Commercial real estate firms see growth in office and data center sectors

Commercial real estate firms and building system manufacturers are seeing growth driven by structural demand for high-quality assets and technical management solutions, according to Q2 2026 earnings reports.

Key drivers in the market include prime office assets and data centers. JLL reported that office leasing activity has reached a post-pandemic high, noting that while newer, high-quality buildings are seeing record rents, older or lower-quality spaces face higher vacancy rates.

Data centers are also a significant growth engine. Cushman & Wakefield noted that data center work now accounts for a quarter of its integrated facilities management pipeline. Similarly, CBRE reported that more than half of its data center revenue is derived from downstream services, including management, refitting, and project work.
